Scary Thought: The Lakers Keep Losing Leads

Yeah, the Los Angeles Lakers won against the lottery-bound Golden State Warriors to the score of 114-106, but that game has continued a trend in the last few games: The Lakers keep losing leads in games.

In the last five games, the Lakers are 4-1, with a loss to the pesky Philadelphia 76ers, but the wins against the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, the Dallas Mavericks and the Warriors have had winning margins of an average of 7 points. Not bad, but if you look at the flow of a majority of those games, the Lakers led more than their winning margin. As a matter of fact, in a couple of those games, the Lakers lost the lead and had to overcome a deficit.

This is really not good news-- even Phil Jackson had questioned the Lakers' "killer instinct." It seems the Cleveland Cavaliers are displaying the hunger to dominate opponents on a nightly basis, regardless of their opponents' winning record. The Lakers better take note, they might face the Cavs in the playoffs.
