What's More Important: Stats or Clutch?

Ask anybody who's following the NBA like a Twitter celebrity who the Most Valuable Player of the NBA is this season and half of the people it's LeBron James. The other half will say it's the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant.

Still most people will give the nod to LeBron because the Cavaliers have a better win-loss record and his stats are just too pristine to ignore: 30 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds a game. Kobe? 27 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists a game-- quite pedestrian compared to LBJ's clip.

Nonetheless, Kobe can be attributed to 6 wins the Lakers have this season as he has made that number of game winners.

So here's the question: In choosing an MVP, what is more important: Stats (LeBron) or Clutch (Kobe)?
