But if you ask me, it's the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant.

At this point in time, the Bulls' and the Lakers' win-loss records are almost identical, with the Lakers just a game behind the Bulls. The Lakers are currently #2 in the Western Conference while the Bulls are perched at the top spot. NBA regular season MVP voters tend to favor players who have are on the top five teams in terms of standings, with special attention to impact and win productions. This is main reason I think Rose is tabbed as the MVP right now.
The Lakers have been hot since the All-Star break (14-1) and one of the key reasons is Kobe's consistent performance despite the nagging injuries. Stats-wise, Kobe has better numbers in points, rebounds, steals, and turnovers. Even in esoteric stats like ESPN's PER, Kobe is better than Rose.
Let's not close the books yet and hand over the MVP to Rose. Kobe has a clear case
