If you haven't heard, Vanessa Bryant filed for divorce to end her decade-long marriage to Kobe Bryant.
As a Laker fan, I am stoked!
Kobe has shown that he has the mental focus to play at a higher level despite the off-court distractions. (Remember 2003?) I believe that this season will be the same story.
Not that I dislike Vanessa Bryant (who could be the single most destructive force the Los Angeles Lakers franchise has faced in the last decade), but this is the type of conflict that can elevate Kobe's game.
Mark my words: The Black Mamba will disprove naysayers this season.
