Kobe Bryant Versus Michael Jordan in 1998 All-Star Game

NBA Legend Michael Jordan will be entering the Basketball Hall of Fame tomorrow and there's no doubt he was the best player of his era. He simply dominated the 1990's with his Chicago Bulls teams and he provided the template for future NBA stars (and perhaps future Hall of Famers) like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Dwayne Wade.

As a Laker Fan, I used to like seeing the match-ups between Jordan and Kobe in the late 1990's. And one of the most famous duels between "Air" and the "Air Apparent" was the 1998 NBA All-Star Game. The two were in the opposite sides of a basketball career-- Jordan was at the tail-end of his Chicago Bulls stint and Kobe was just starting to gain prominence in his first All-Star start.

In that game, Jordan went on to win the All-Star MVP award by getting 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists. Kobe had 18 points, 6 rebounds, and a single assist. At that time, there was no doubt who was the Best.
