Big Lakers Fan's Sprite Spark Parks Contest

I've been a little down since the Los Angeles Lakers got booted off the 2011 NBA Playoffs, and I'm sure there's a lot of Lakers fans all over who feel the same way.

But it's time to pick everyone's spirits up with a sweepstakes courtesy of Sprite!

I'm starting this contest called the Sprite Spark Parks Contest and it's very much related to Sprite Spark Parks Project.

What is the Sprite Spark Parks Project? It's a multi-year commitment to build and restore play environments where teens, families and neighbors can get outside and be active. The deadline for the contest is on June 17, 2011, 11:59 EST. It's important to take note that this contest is open to folks from the US and Canada only. The prize will be provided by the Coca-Cola Company but they are not a sponsor, administrator or connected in any other way with this sweepstakes.

Lakers-Celtics NBA.com Video Contest

Weekend NBA.com Contest

It's contest time again here in Big Lakers Fan!

The Conference Finals in the NBA continue over the weekend with Game 3 of the Boston/Orlando series kicking off on Saturday at 8:30 pm EST on ESPN and Game 3 of the Los Angeles/Phoenix series continuing the fun on Sunday at 8:30 pm EST on TNT.

This is a simple (and tough one). In the comments section, post who will have the most points, rebounds, and assists this weekend. One player each, from either game, either team. Answers must be submitted by May 24 at 12am EST. The winner will receive an awesome prize package from NBA.com! (BTW, congrats to Kevin Codamon for winning the LeBron James poster!)

We're continuing the momentum of the previous PurplenGoldLA T-Shirt contest with a new one: One lucky person will have the chance to take home this Pau Gasol-inspired "Boom Boom Pau" t-shirt!

We Have A Winner for the "Big Bad Bynum" and "Throw it Down like Shannon Brown" Shirts!

If there's one thing I learned for the second PurplenGoldLA t-shirt contest, perseverance will get you the prize. There were two folks who maxed out the possible entries you can get and there were a lot of people who multiple entries via Twitter and Facebook. Start the NBA Season Right: Get a FREE PurplenGoldLA T-Shirt!

I'm now officially out of my blogging off-season and I'm starting-off with a bang!

Big Lakers Fan and PurplenGoldLA are going to give away spiffy Los Angeles Lakers-themed t-shirts for FREE! And we're not stopping there: we're doing this EVERY WEEK!

From this week up to the week of the start of the 2009-2010 NBA season on October 27, 2009, we will be giving away nice graphic t-shirts from PurplenGoldLA. We will be giving away a total of eight t-shirts during that period and for the very first week, we're giving away a shirt inspired by the Lakers' latest acquisition: Ron Artest.

So how do you get this great-looking shirt?

We have a very simple online contest to determine who will get the shirt. The only limitation is that we can only send the t-shirt to a valid shipping address in the United States. The deadline for this week's entry is on September 20, 2009, Sunday, 9pm (EST). The winner will be announced the following day.
